Aalto+Aalto
Komorebi is a Japanese word referring to sunlight seeping through overhead trees. It feels descriptive of the way light filters through the overlapping fabric pieces of this lamp which combines two discarded objects – ceramic drainage pipes and cotton bed linen – and repurposes them for a new lease on life.
Ceramic drainage pipes, cotton linen, lighting parts
The lamps were made for the fourth Puhdetyö exhibition
The work was supported by the Arts Promotion Center Finland
